The diagram illustrates a process and procedure involved in the production of electricity through the geothermal power plant.
Overall, there are eight stages involved in producing electricity which starts with the cold water storage and ends with the transmission of electricity to its final user.
As seen in the diagram, the cold water stored is pumped down through a 4.5-kilometre tunnel towards the injection well. The injection well transfers the cold water towards the geothermal zone which contains the hot rocks and results in an increase in the temperature of the water. The production well will pump up the hot water through a tunnel towards a condenser room.
In the condenser room, the steam is passed through a medium that results in the movement of the turbine in a clockwise direction. A generator is attached through a turbine therefore, a generator produces electricity due to the movement of the turbine and the final product of electricity is transferred towards the geothermal plant.
