European country between 1979 and 2004…
The given line graph reveals statistics about the average consumption of fish, lamb, chicken, and beef by each person in a nation of Europe from 1979 to 2004. Looking from an overall perspective, with the exception of chicken, which increased, the consumption of all kinds of meat decreased over the whole period. In addition, fish was consumed less than meat every year.
Beef and fish were the highest and lowest categories at the beginning of the period with over 50 grams and 200 grams eaten by each individual per week, respectively. Subsequently, the amount of beef peaked at about 250 grams in 1984, but then significantly dropped to approximately 100 grams in 2004. Meanwhile, a slight decline to roughly 50 grams, was recorded in the figure for fish.
Lamb and beef started with a similar amount of about 150 grams in the first year but showed a reverse trend afterward. There was a gradual fall in the consumption of lamb to around 60 grams per person per week. The figure for chicken, in contrast, rose dramatically and overtook beef in 1989 before hitting its highest point of 250 grams in 2004.
