The maps depict the modernization of Felixstone over the course of 34 years: from 1967 to 2001.
Overall, the town has witnessed significant changes, the most prominent of which is the hotel complex in replacement of the farmland to the North East of Felixstone, as well as the development seen in the area in close vicinity of the sea. However, the golf course and the café stayed unchanged throughout the time period.
A range of shops on the left of High Street has been demolished to make way for new apartments built along the street. Adjacent to it is the new hotel complex with state-of-the-art facilities, including a swimming pool and two new tennis courts. To the South West of the town, a number of dunes have been flattened and wind turbines have been constructed in the aforementioned area. Furthermore, the marina, the pier and the fish market to the South East of Felixstone have been knocked down to provide space for the public and private beaches.
