Recently you saw an article in a newspaper/journal about a city/town you know and some of the information in the article was incorrect. Write a letter to the editor regarding this.
In your letter, you should tell:
how you know about this city/town
what information was incorrect
what the editor should do about this.
I am writing this letter with respect to recent article 'Exploring Chandigarh' published in Hindustan Times on 31 September. There was some wrong information regarding the famous Rose garden.
I would definitely say that your article was worth reading due to its content and word choice. When, I was reading through the article, I found out that Date of annual fair was incorrect in journal. Actually, it is 2nd february instead of 4th February, on this day fair is organized each year. Well, I am sure about this data, as, I have great interest in plants and regularly visit Rose garden to admire its beauty. That's why, I think of correcting the whole information.
Could you edit your article and provide right information to readers in next edition. You can write rectification notice at the end of the article to amend the mistake.
I am looking forward to hear from you soon.
Yours Faithfully,
Raman
