Overall, it is evdident that the average levels of participation in education of men and women in Singapore from 2000 to 2010 witnessed an upward trend after a period surveyed, and the percentage of highschool qualification ranked in the first in 2000 whereas that of university qualification was the largest in 2010.
As can be seen from the bar chart given, the average number of years spent at school of adult males in Singapore was always higher compared to that of adult females between 2000 and 2010. There was a gradual rise of the figure for men from about 9 years in 2000 to 12 years in 2010. The figure for women showed a stability in 4 years from 2000 to 2004 and increased slightly to reach a peak of almost 9 years in 2010.
As far as the pie charts are concerned, the proportion of master and university qualification of adults in Singapore between 2000 and 2010 witnessed a surge while the opposite was true of the remaining qualifiations. The portion of university and master qualification, which was the two lowest in 2000, leapt and ranked in the first and second in 2010, with merely 32.33% and 30.31%, respectively. The percentage of highschool qualification decreased in 2010 to approximately two in ten (19.55%), which was higher compared to that of secondary school qualification (15.2%). The proportion of primary school qualification shared a minuscule portion, with about 2.1%.
