The diagrams below show the stages of the erosion of the headland
Given are the diagrams delineating the process in the erosion of the headland. It is perceptible that there is a slow vanish of the headland because of the eroside.
The most prominent of modifications has been the disappearance of the big ledge for a long time after a demolition of waves. At the first time, there is a continuous attack of waves on the base of the cliff which has the weakest area. Following that, the more attacks, the larger cracks appeared into the cliff from time to time.
Another transformation is that the big cave has been become visible from the cracks of the ledge. The eroside is continuing until the cave changes into the arch which undercut through the headland. This arch is truly like the Durdle Door in Dorset.
Strikingly, the birth of the gigantic collapse of the arch’s roof because of a weaker base of the cliff when it becomes a steak. Moreover, this steak is continually eroded until it is only a smaller one. Ultimately, a big headland has been retreating a stack standing independently besides the headland in the interim.
