The graphs illustrate the amount of energy consumed by Australian household and their impacts to the environment in term of created greenhouse gas emissions.
There are 6 elements to compare. The most common source used is heating with 42% and the least one is cooling with just a minor rate of 2%. It can also be seen that water heating occupies 30% in total of energy use, which is the second well-known consumable source. The rest are refrigeration, lighting and other applications with 7%, 4% and 15%, respectively.
Meanwhile, the second chart shows some similarities and differences about the figures. Despite the spreading of heating in many Australian families, it does not affect to the greenhouse gas emissions as much as water heating by ( 15% that is less than 32%). Besides, other applications also takes huge ratio of 28%. The unchanged factor is cooling with still smallest number of 3%.
In conclusion, heating seems to be the most effecient source of energy due to its high popularity and low environmentary impact to the citizens in this nation.
