The provided tables inform about the difference of sales of fairtrade-labelled coffee and bananas respectively in 1999 and 2004 in five countries in Europe namely, the UK, Switzerland, Denmark, Belgium and Sweden.
Overall, the UK, Switzerland and Denmark had traded both more coffee and banana in 2004 than in 1999. Although exchange of coffee had increased in Belgium and Sweden, sales of banana went down in 2004.
Denmark stood top in selling coffee, earning 1.8 million of euros, and was closely followed by the UK (1.5 million of euros). The scenario changed dramatically in 2004. Sales of coffee had earned the UK 20 million of euros in 2004 whereas Denmark only earned 2 million of euros. Belgium and Sweden sold the least quantity of coffee in 1999 as well as in 2004.
On the other hand, only UK had sold the most bananas in 1999 and received 15 million of euros which later multiplied about three times, reaching to 47 million of euros, in 2004. Trade of banana in Switzerland and Denmark was almost non-existent in 1999 but they obtained 5.5 and 4 million of euros individually in 2004.
