The first chart below shows the value of goods that Australia imported from China and those exported to China from Australia. The second chart shows the types of goods imported from China. Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
The first bar chart gives the information about the comparison between two countries about the value of goods which were imported and exported over a period of 7 years. The second chart illustrates the kinds of goods which were imported from China during 2 years from 2003.
In general, what stands out from the graph is that there was an upward trend in the amounts of value in 2 groups from 1998 to 2004. It is also clear to see that the types of goods in China in 2004 were higher than those in 2003, with the exception of clothes.
In the first chart, the value of goods which were imported and exported in China in 2004 was the highest, at $40 billion and $30 billion respectively, which was at least twice as high as those in 1998, with $20 billion and $10 billion corresponding. The figures for both in 1998 also were the lowest in the period.
In the other chart, it is obvious to see that the highest amount in this chart was in the telecommunication equipment in 2004, with $8 billion. Compared to the previous year, this was more than twice and a half, $8 billion compared with $3 billion. In the meantime, the figure for clothes in both 2003 and 2004 were the same, at $4 billion per year.
