The maps manifest outlay of the municipality named Lynnfields in 1936 and a few decades later in 2007. From an overall perspective, it is sufficiently apparent that Lynnfields has undergone massive-scaled transformation into more residential, commercial and accessible town since the middle of 1930s.
In the north-west, there is barely any significantly changes other than a marginal decreased in the number of trees. On the opposite land, there used to be a river running across an untouched ground more than 80 years ago. However, in 2007, it was replaced by various buildings to cater to housing demand of inhabitants.
In the middle of the town, the post office along with bank and library experienced no modifications over the period whereas the sweet shop and butchers were substituted by a spacious supermarket. Beneath it, prior to 2007, was bare land with no buildings whatsoever but in 2007, a large shopping center was established. On the south-west corner of this estate, in the initial outlay it was the location of flower shop preceding being supplanted by travel agent.
With the view of facilitating approaching the city, the circuitous cycle path on the south-east of the map was taken place by a curving road. Meanwhile, in 1936, people would go south-east if they were heading for farm land or government offices, in 2007 their destinations had changed into museum and golf course.
