The charts depict a comparison between the percentages of energy is used in an average Australian household and how much greenhouse gas is emitted from that energy use. Overall, the energy use in the family for heating is the highest but that of water heating emits the most greenhouse gas.
As can be seen in the first chart, the household in Australia uses more energy for heating than for other things, about 42%. Water and other appliances account for 30% and 50% of energy use. Refrigeration covers 7% in using energy and cooling and lightening use energy less than 5%.
While heating consumes most of the energy use in the household, the amount of greenhouse gas emitted from it is not the highest, about 15%. Data of other appliances and water heating release much pollution, accounting for 28% and 32%. Refrigeration, Cooling, and lightening emit little greenhouse gas, respectively 14%, 3%, and 8%.
