The given bar chart sheds lights on the percentage of British residents whose consumption of fruits and vegetables are greater than five portions a day during the 2002-2010 period.
As can be seen from the graph, the consumptions of adults is nearly double that of children, and female adults eat slightly more fruits and vegetables than male.
Considering the data for women, a quarter of women in the UK ate at least five portions of fruits and vegetables everyday in 2002. Four years laters, in 2006, it then rose to 32% - the highest figure recognized in the whole chart before ending the period with a minimal drop to 27% in 2010.
At the same time, the data for male and children followed the same pattern as female. The proportion for men stood at 22%; 28% and 24% in 2002, 2006 and 2010 respectively, slightly lower than that of female from 3-5%. On the other hand, not many kids having more than five portions of veggies a day, its figures only account for 11% (2002), 16% (2006), and 14%(2010)
