The line graph depicts the information regarding radio and television audiences throughout the day in UK in the year of 1992.
As observed, it is evident that at 1 o’clock almost 6% of the population above four years old was watching televisions. From 2 o’clock to 8 o’clock there was a slight increase from 3% to 8%. However , from 8 o’clock to 11 o’clock the watching dropped to 4% respectively , then a drastic increase was seen in the television audience accounted to 16% at 13 o’clock . It remained unchanged for two hours, afterwards the watching rose significantly in the evening and touched its peak accounted to 45% at 9 o’clock. Later it declined dramatically to 15% at the end of the day on 24 o’clock.
On further analysis, the radio graph started from 3% at 1 AM and remained constant till 6 o’clock with minor fluctuations . In the morning , the audience surged to 25% and touched its peak at 8 o’clock. Moreover the audience started to drop continuously from 8 to 15 o’clock and accounted to 12% respectively. There was an minor increase for two hours in the evening but later declined significantly and settled to 5% with minor changes at 20 4 o’clock in the night.
Overall, it can be established that The television touched its peak in the evening whereas the radio watchers increased the most in the morning.
