Essay topics:

In some countries, a lot of children have health issues and are becoming overweight. Some people think that the government should be responsible for solving this problem. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, obesity incidence is accelerating due to the advancement of convenience products and electronic devices. Therefore, inhabitants are urging government intervention to salvage the situation. From my perspective, while states can play a significant role, the responsibilities of parents and educators should be emphasized.

On the one hand, the development of children is crucial to the national prospect when human resources are abundant. Therefore, the authority can organize several campaigns that incentivize children to exercise. For example, in Viet Nam, the government promotes sports classes and hiking holidays, which offers a valuable opportunity for juniors to participate in physical training. Moreover, local councils can also expand the playgrounds for children by opening parks or squares. Contemporarily, the ubiquity of infrastructure and transportation networks has occupied spaces within the urban expanse, preventing children from enjoying outdoor activities with their fellow beings. Nevertheless, with the revitalization of commodious and vehicle-free areas, the youths can be encouraged to adopt physical discipline in their routine.

On the other hand, the health deficits of children are to blame for the deficiency of attention from guardians. Under the socio-economics, it is commonplace for parents to devote their available time to work, depriving them of the opportunities to allocate attention to their offspring. As a repercussion, dietary patterns are not regulated and usually include unhealthy food, which can underlie several illnesses such as hypertension, diabetes, and blood pressure. Furthermore, the freedom to passively observe the TV or computer’s screen can result in insufficient motor movements and sedentary lifestyles. Otherwise, if parents dedicate themselves to educating and monitoring, children can have a better understanding of the significance of fitness and overcome their unhealthy habits. Secondly, the curriculums accentuate the importance of academic subjects like Maths, Literature, and Chemistry but neglect the contribution of Physical Education. For instance, in England where plenty of children suffer from the overweight condition, an average student merely participates in physical activities for two hours per week. Therefore, the educators must deliver the knowledge about maintaining longevity to their pupils while simultaneously introducing an optimal timetable with a longer workout duration.
In conclusion, a combination of the endeavors of the governments and responsible adults can generate positive effects on the children’s well-being and progression.
