Overall, it can be seen from the first graph that the highest percentage of households owning house electrical devices was in 2019. Regarding the second chart, the weekly amount of time, that was spent on housework, decreased over the time.
To begin with, people have shown a high tendency to own household appliances during the time. In 1920, only %40 of houses bought the washing machine, and it has increased to %70 in 1960. After that, it experienced a decrease in 1980 to %65 before it raised again to reach %85 in 2019. In contrast, no house had the refrigerator in 1920, but after that it had dramatically increased to reach %100 in 2019. Compared to the vacuum cleaner, %30 of people had purchased it in 1920, and this percentage had a steady rise over the years until it became %100 in 2019.
Moreover, the weekly time spent on housechores per house was falling over the years. In 1920, 50 hours per week was allocated for housework, then, it started to gradually decrease to 20 hours in 1960 until only 10 hours per week in 2019.
