The map below shows the development of the village of Rye mouth between 1995 and present.
The pictures below depict the change of the village called Rye Mouth from 1995 to the present.
Overall, the town underwent a number of dramatic changes, the most important of which are the expansion of housing area, as well as the development of amenities catering for meeting demands for accommodations and recreational activities.
In the north-west, it is obvious that most of the houses were erected along the road, and the intersection from the main road was constructed to move into the residential areas. Meanwhile, in the south-west, there also saw significant changes, with shops being turned into restaurants, and fish markets with fishing ports being converted into apartments, whilst the cafe shop in the centre has remained during the period.
In the north-east, the hotel at the edge of three-intersections was reconstructed to make room for building the car park over a 27-year period. The fitness facilities to the north-east were constructed to replace the farmland and forest park. Similarly, opposite the terraced houses in the west, a number of houses at the top of the east were also built.
