The two maps illustrate the difference between Paradise Island in the past and in the present.
Overall, Paradise Island witnessed numerous tremendous changes. While in the past, Paradise Island was used for scientific purposes, right now, it has been turned into a tourist attraction with many buildings and facilities.
Regarding the past, Paradise Island seemed more natural than the present. At the center of the island, there was a multitude of forests concentrated, meanwhile, a scientific research station was located on the left, and a natural spring was on the right. Surrounding the island was the sea, rocks, and a beach on the northwest. In addition, besides the scientific buildings was a pier with a boat.
Concerning the present, Paradise Island has experienced a significant modernization which cut off all trees and replaced with an open restaurant, and BBQ area. Additionally, the research laboratory has been demolished to make way for a hotel complex and swimming pool. And a system of cycle paths is erected across the island. The natural spring remains unchanged, but next to it is a coffee shop positioned on the road. The beach and rocks also have no difference, but there is a permitted swimming zone has been added to the beach. The pier is extended and now spacious enough for cruise ships to land.
