The diagram below shows the manufacturing process for making sugar from sugar cane
The chart describes how to make sugar from sugar cane. There are five main steps in the process of producing sugar, beginning with the growing of sugar cane and ending with the completed sugar.
The first step in the process is waiting for the sugar cane to grow up and it takes 12 to 18 months to get ready. After that, people start reaping sugar cane. The process continues with the crushing stage. Sugar canes are pressed into juice by a particular machine. Subsequently, people purify the sugar cane juice by using a limestone filter. When the last step is done, the purified juice is heated to become sugar cane syrup. The next step is called centrifuge where people use technics to divide sugar crystals from the syrup. The process finishes with the drying and cooling step. Sugar crystals dry and cool and become sugar which is white and stays in a big barrel.
