A friend who lives in another country has invited you to come and stay with him on your next holiday. You are too busy to accept the invitation. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:
Thank him for the invitation
Explain why you cannot come
Ask him about other times to visit
Dear Jack,
I am writing to thank you for your warm invitation, and it gives me goosebumps when I dream of holidays with you at your place. But unfortunately, I can't come this time due to my hectic schedule.
Let me explain my situation in detail. I have recently started a new job in a company to accomplish a challenging project, and I am working round the clock. At the same time, I need to go to Dubai for its completion and will be there for a month. I hope you will understand my situation and forgive me this time.
However, there is no need to get disappointed as I can avail a month-long holiday after the project's completion. I hope we can plan for a trip in late September. Let me know if that is convenient for you. I am excited about the opportunity to relish the beauty of beaches in Australia with you. I have a lot of gossips to share with you.
Please let me know. Take care and keep in touch.
Your friend,
MA Rahman
