As can be seen from the graph, drinking coffee or tea at a cafe was the most popular habit among most of these cities, whereas the opposite was true for buying fresh coffee. It is also noticeable that the biggest difference can be seen in the proportion of buying fresh coffee and going to a cafe in Hobart city.
It is clear that the majority of city dwellers in five cities went to coffee shops to drink coffee or tea. More than 60% people in Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart drank coffee or tea at a cafe, while the figures for Brisbane and Adelaide were slightly lower, standing at about 55% and below 50% respectively.
Looking at other drinking and buying habits, we can see that purchasing instant coffee made up the second largest percentage among mentioned cities during the last 4 weeks. More than a half of people living in Brisbane and Hobart have the habit of purchasing instant coffee. At the same time, the figure for other cities were under 50%. The least common purchasing and drinking habit was buying fresh coffee. Brisbane and Adelaide had equal figures, at 34%, while approximately 37% Hobart’s citizens had this habit.
