The table chart shows data about five modes of vehicles registered in Australia in the years 2010, 2012, and 2014.
From an overall perspective, it it clear that the the registration rate of all types of vehicles showed an upward trend. Additionally, passenger vehicles were the most popular in Australia throughout the period.
Regarding to the data for passenger vehicles, there were 11,8 million commuters registered in 2010, which was by far the highest figure over the chart, closely followed by commercial vehicles with 2,3 million registers. In the four following years, the figure for passenger commuters registered witnessed a 10.2% growth to 13 million. Meanwhile, commercial vehicles underwent a greater change in registration with 2,7 million people registering in 2014.
In 2010, the figure for motorcycles was 540,000, being higher than that for heavy trucks and light trucks, at 384,000 and 106,000 respectively. In the final year, motorcycles registration level showed the most considerable change with 30.8%. Likewise, the statistics for heavy trucks and light trucks were seen a similar trend with an increase to below 500,000 in 2014
