The given maps illustrate how a tourist destination named Felixstone was developed from 1967 to 2001.
Looking from the overall perspective, it is readily apparent that Felixstone experienced some significant changes during the period shown, mostly regarding the modernization of facilities as well as how this place was widened.
The most striking difference was in the east of the map where the previous farmland was replaced by a resort with full of sports equipment such as a swimming pool, a hotel and a tennis court. Meanwhile, the shops to the right hand of the high street were converted into flats, but the shops and the golf area to the west of it stayed unchanged for 34 years.
Turning to the other features, there were four turbines built in front of the dunes to produce wind power in 2001. Thus, the former hotel was relocated closer to the café, before the erection of a new car park to the bottom left-hand side of it. Finally, the fish market was demolished to make way for the private beach, while the public beach was constructed on the original site of Marina Pier.
