The pie charts give information about the online sales for four retail sectors in New Zealand in 2003 and 2013.
Overall, the data indicated that the proportion of clothes and travel sectors decreased over the period. Meanwhile, there was a growth of online sales for the two remaining sectors, which were the books and film/music sectors.
Turning to the first chart, the travel sector came as the most popular online sale, practiced by 36% in 2003. Clothes and film/music were followed, which accounted for 24% and 21% respectively. The books sector was the least popular, which represented 19%.
Taking a look closer at the second chart, in the year 2013, the proportion of the film/music sector, which rose to 33% of total online sales, became the most popular sector. Travel came second, accounting for 29%, followed by the books sector at 22%. The clothes decreased dramatically to 16%, which was the lowest percentage of online sales at that time.
