the plans below show how a ground floor of particular building has changed over time
The plans given depict the modernisation of the ground storey of a specific building.
It is clear from the pictures that the floor has undergone some noticiable transformations. Additionally, the function of this place has been changed 3 times since 1958.
From 1958 to 1984, when the floor was used as an office, visitors could enter it through a gate located in the southern area. At the same time, to the left of the storey, a manager office was flanked by a kitchen to the north and a reception area to the south, while assistant’s office and secretary’s office were opposite the manager one. Likewise, there were a meeting room and a toilet situated in the northwest and southwest corner in turn.
Between 1985 and 2000, the floor was used as an apartment. The locations of the kitchen and the entrance remained unchanged, whereas bedroom 1 and bedroom 2 had been erected in the position where the manager office and reception used to be. In contrast, there was a living room relative to the disappearance of the meeting room and assistant’s office. Conversely, the secretary’s office and the toilet had been demolished to give way to a bathroom and shower.
Up to now, the storey has been coverted into a boutique. While the entrance and the kitcheen remain unchanged, more places for flower have been added. By contrast, a play area and a gift cards have been constructed in the southwest and northwest corner respectively. Meanwhile, bedroom 1 has been transformed into an office.
