Summarize the points made in the lecture, being sure to explain how they cast doubt on the specific points made in the reading passage
The reading and lecture are both about the various forms of classical architecture such as Chinese, Japanese and so on has commonality in term of style and are highly susceptible to revive the ancient style of Greece and Rome. The lecturer further elaborates this by mentioning that they are reference to architecture and derive the principle inherent to Greece and Rome.
Similarly, according to the article, classical architectiure obtained details on how they were built and what elements did they use in their buildings as well as the changes evolved over time. The professor corroborates this by mentioning that despite the collapse of Roman Empire, they did not acquire the same style rather the Eastern Empire blended the Roman techniques with the Greece and that can be clearly seen in the Bazytine Empire which uses Roman styles.
Besides, the reading passage also notes that it was not until the Italian Renaissance that became prominent for reviving that style. In addition, in order to return the glory to ancient Romans and greeks ruined the buildings to study the process and built the new one combining the techniques. The speaker, on other hand, asserts that ancient architecture has dominance over the modern one. Furthermore, classical architecture were impacted by alluring decorative and constructive elements of that time. Therefore, they built any mode of architecture yet in different styles.
As we can see, the author and lecturer holds similar view points on reviving of ancient architecture on classical one, the speaker effectively supports the writer’s notion.
