The presented diagram illustrates the transformation of how sugar is made from sugar cane.

Overall, the procedure consists of 7 main steps, starting with raw materials and finishing with refined sweet substances.

Firstly, it takes around one to one and a haft years to grow sugar cane, right from sowing to the ripening of sugar cane. After that, the crop is harvested either with the help of machines or by farmers themselves. The usage of machinery might be efficient but when farmers harvest it, they remove every single leaf and then cut the canes. Then, raw plants are crushed and squeezed by a strong and giant roller to extract the juice. From this, the juice is purified through a tool called a limestone filter to get pure and refined products.

Following this step is that, the fresh liquor pouring into the evaporator for making syrup through heating. Next, it is time to separate by centrifuge to remove an excessive amount of sugar crystal grains from the syrup. Ultimately, the crystals are dried out and cooled down to be ready for people’s consumption.
