The table and charts below give information on the police budget for 2017 and 2018 in one area of Britain. The table shows where the money came from and the charts show how it was distributed.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant

The pie charts and table provide data on the structure of UK government budget from 2017 to 2018, disclosing the structure of expenditures and revenues accordingly.

Overall, the total number of income has been increasing during the period, so as the contributions from all relevant sources, with the noticeable inflows coming from National Government and Local Taxes. As for the budget spending, while about two thirds was allocated to officers and staff salaries, small part of their compensation was redirected for technological improvements.

In 2018, the Police Budget received additional 13 million pounds, reaching 319 million in total. Supported by the amount of 178 million received from the government sources, it also benefited from the impressive 20 million rise in taxes collected. Sums from grants and other sources remained steady, hovering around 38 million.

he most noticeable change in spending structure was a reduction in staff compensation in favour of technology. Nevertheless, even after this slight drop, salaries’ percentage remained close to 70%, compared to 17% allocation to buildings and transport, which didn’t change at all.
