The bar chart illustrates how many servings of certain food and beverage items are sold on average every day in two different seasons at the Vista Cafe. The average number of sales of each item changes with the season.
It can be seen that the sales of certain items are much higher in winter than in summer. Hot coffee has the highest number of sales, with an average of seventy-five servings consumed daily. Following this, the item with the second highest number of orders is soup, with an average of fifty orders daily. In the meanwhile, salad and ice cream have average daily sales of fifty servings each, and iced coffee brings the lowest number of sales for Vista, with close to zero servings sold per day.
The sales numbers for each food item are different in the summer from what they are in the winter. Iced coffee sales rise significantly, to an average of 40 servings sold each day. The item that has the second highest number of orders is ice cream, with an average of 35 orders per day. Hot coffee sales falls down to just 30 servings daily and the sales of soup is just equal to half of the sales of it in the winter. Whilst the number of sales of salad in summer is similar to the one in the winter which is around 25 servings daily and has the lowest sales among other items in summer.
Overall, the average daily sales of each food item change remarkably when the reason changes. Certain items are more popular in the winter, but others are consumed much more in the summer.
