The line graphs compare four road, water, rail, and pipeline groups of goods transport quantity in the United Kingdom from 1974 and 2002.
In general, there were an upward trend in road, pipeline, and water transport, while rail transport have a fluctuated trend in the United Kingdom between 1974 and 2002.
As can be seen, four transports groups have an approximately stable situation from 1974 to 1978. The water transport increased slightly about 18 Million tonnes and pipeline has increased about 10 Million tonnes too between 1978 and 982, while road and railway have a decrease in same time in The United kingdom. After that the pipeline transport has a plateaued situation from 1982 to 2994 and so has a slight increased from 1992 to 1995 and in remain years it has not change much. The railway transport has a fall between 1987 and 1984 and after that it has a fluctuated trend until 1994 and after that there was a slight upward trend form 1994 to 2002. The water way has not change until 1998 after that increased between 1978 and 1982 but in remain four years it increased about 20 Million tonnes. Finally road way that has the most number among other groups increased slightly between 1982 and 1994 and after that it failed for four years and increased again until 2002.
