The illustration diagram demonstrates the process of creating electricity in a specific hydroelectric power station. Overall, there are three main phases during the process, beginning with taking water to the dam to store and culminating in distributing electricity to the national grid.
Water from the river is initially distributed to a high-level reservoir of a dam. The water then follows the given flow pumping down to the power station during the daytime, while the dam is closed at night preventing water from flowing down the way.
Regarding the power station, there are reversible turbines placed at the entrance in order to take the water from the high-level reservoir and store it in another reservoir with a lower storage. Following this, that liquid is pumped up to the generator with the aim of operating it in the morning; however, it is brought back to the bigger storage reservoir during the night. Finally, when the generator is activated, electricity is going to be created and allocated to the national grid through power lines.
