Overall, many dance classes are hosted in private studios, followed by school halls, community halls and others and lastly college-based studios. Meanwhile, with regard to types of classes, younger students prioritize ballet and tap classes than modern dance classes, whereas their older counterparts prefer modern dance classes to ballet and tap classes.
Looking more closely at the pie chart, private studios account for half of the total (48%) which is double the figure for after-school school halls (24%). Community halls and other college-based studios stand at 18% and 10% correspondingly.
According to the bar charts, 600 students aged under 11 years-old attended ballet classes and this figure is double their older counterparts in the 11-16-year-old bracket. Similarly, tap classes attract approximately 450 under 11-year-olds students compared to roughly 420 11-16-year-olds students.
