School children are becoming far too dependent on computers. This is having an alarming effect on reading and writing skills. Teachers need to avoid using computers in the classroom at all costs and go back to teaching basic study skills.
Do you agree or disagree?
Nowadays, we use technology in all part of our lives, at work, in free time, even in schools. Using computers for education seams very good, but actually it is not true. Our children are more depend on computers and it is dangerous.
In my opinion we should have a boundary to use computers. Computers and internet are great resources for searching information and learning new things, but they are not proper for all ages. For instance, in elementary school, student should not use the computers. In elementary school student start to learn how to read, or how to calculate. If they use computers instead of old ways, they might do not earn results as much as their teachers expect.
In additional, when we use computers in the classrooms, we have a chance for cheating. Those students using computers and use experiences of other people. They do not try to go out and find stuff by themselves. Moreover, students become confuse between the lessons and points that teacher tries to teach and guides in computers.
Finally, it is very good if we can avoid our young children from using computers and teach them by using old way of education. If they are trained without computers, they will able do their duty and homework by themselves. Actually they have to thinking more and find the better solutions.
To conclude, I agree with this idea that teachers should use old ways of educations instead of using computers in classrooms. But this way is good for especial level of school for example in elementary school or in kindergarten.
