The supplied table enumerates the number of prisoners in different countries, named as, Canada, Australia, Great Britain, United States and New Zealand from 1930 to 1980. The highlighting feature is that there is a mild increase in number of detainees each year in Great Britain.
As it is observed from the table, Canada had the maximal figure of prisoners in the year 1930 with 120 thousands. In this year, New Zealand and United States was on the same position with 100 thousands prisoners. With roughly 130 thousands, United States enjoys the highest rank in 1940 whereas Canada, Australia and New Zealand had curtailed its prisoners. In 1950, only United States declined its prisoners with 18 thousands. Rest of the countries had a slight increase in their number of prisoners.
Moreover, in 1960, again, United States was on top rank virtually 120 thousands. Canada had a tedious decrease with 18 thousands and all other countries shows an increase in number of captives. Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand had same number of detainees in the year 1970 with 65 thousands. Only Australia depicts decline in figure of prisoners with 12 thousands whereas all other countries show dramatic increase in number of prisoners.
In summary, United States has the highest number of captives in the year 1980 with 138 thousands and in 1930, Great Britain has the minutest number of detainees well nigh to 30 thousands.
