The given pie charts give the information about water consumption for three main reason, industrial, agricultural and domestic use, in six different regions namely; North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Central Asia and South East Asia.
Over all, it is clear that countries in Asia, South America and Africa use most water for agriculture while about half of the water in North America and Europe goes to industrial sector.
As can be seen from the charts, more than 70% of water is utilized for farming in Asia, South America and Africa while in North America and Europe this index is less than 40% (39% and 32%) respectively. On the contrary, these regions required more water for industrial purposes (48% and 53%) yet other regions consume only about 10% average. Moreover, the highest percentage of water used for domestic sector is observed in South America accounted for 19% following by in Europe, North America, Africa and Asia (15%, 13%, 9% and 7%)
