The bar charts elucidate how much money spend on 5 different consumer goods which spent by 4 countries namely; US, UK Canada and Japan in 2009.
The highest spending was on housing as it constitutes above 25% of USD while the least spending was on clothes (below 5%). The transportation in the US received about 17% of resident’s money and 15% on food.
Canadian had the largest transportation share among all four countries at 20%, which portion is similar to those spending on housing (just above 20%). Meanwhile, the least spending was on health care of below 5%.
In Japan, consumers spent 23% of their total expenditures on food in 2009; this figure stands as the highest portion in the food category. Japan houses had taken up the second largest Yen contributions (nearly 22%) whereas transportation took 15%. The least Japanese people concerned to spend on health care and clothes; below 5% each.
Lastly, British spending habit showed that, they mostly spend on housing (nearly 25%), followed by food (20%) and 15% for the transportation. Nearly 1% of pound found in the health care category as it was the lowest spending compared to other countries.
It is apparent that, most of countries spend their money on housing whereas the least spending was on health care and clothes.
