Turning to the line graph and table describe the facts of water use and water consumption in the different countries from 1900 to 2000.
From the line graph we can see the global water use always went up in every decade. At the beginning, Agriculture was the highest sector which required a lot of water in 1900, at 5, 00 Km3. It increased steadily until 1950, then began to rise dramatically and it reached at over 3,000 Km3 in 2000. As the next allocation, industrial sector was the second position at approximately 1,200 Km3 in 2000. Since 1900, the sector for domestic was always in the last place which used less water in just under 5, 00 Km3 for over a century.
Moving onto the table, we can see how much of water consumption in two disparate countries (Brazil and Congo) in 2000. From the table, the population in Brazil was higher than in Congo with 176 million and the land area was 26,500 km2; beside that Congo was 100 km2. Brazil used a lot of water at 359 m3 because it had many of citizens. Inversely with Congo, the population was just 5.2 million so it brought the effect of water consumption was just 8 m3.
To sum up, most of the countries use water for significant sectors, especially for agriculture. Then, the connection between populations with land area was the amount of water consumption by community in their country. The higher population and land area they had, the higher water consumption they need.
