Firstly, the biggest reason for these causes was over-grazing with 35%. The second main reason with 30% was deforestation and the third was over-cultivation with 28%. Other causes for wordlide land degradation was little - only 7%. However, the biggest reason in Europe for this problem was not over-grazing which was 5.5%, but was deforestation with 9.8%. Over-cultivation was on the second place with 7.7%.
In 1990s, Oceania's was not over-cultivated, but was deforestated with only 1.7% and over-grazed significantly - 11.3%. In North America, over-grazing was slight - only 1.5%, similary was over-cultivation - 3,3% and even less was deforestation - only 0.2%.
