The bar chart below shows the number of houses built per year in two cites, Derby and Notngham, between 2000 and 2009
The bar chart compares two different municipalities, namely Derby and Nottingham, in terms of how many apartments constructed from 2000 to 2009.
Looking at the graph, it is immediately obvious that both sets of figures for Derby and Nottingham witnessed an upward trend over the ten years period. However, while the number of houses built each year in Derby either increased or stayed the same, the data for Nottingham saw greater fluctuations.
In 2000, the amount of newly built homes in Derby was just under 50 and steadily rose over the next three years to reach around 125 apartments in 2003. The figure then remained the same for the next four years before dramatically elevating to over 250 in 2008 and hit the highest point of approximately 340 in 2009.
Regarding Derby, the quantity of created houses in Nottingham followed a rather different pattern. Between 2000 and 2005, the data oscillated around 50, before dropping to almost 0 in 2006. Over the three years ensuing, nearly 200 homes manufactured in 2007 and roughly 250 in 2009 after decreasing again to about 10 houses in 2008.
