The given bar chart illustrates the manufacture and consumption of electricity in ten different countries in 2014. Units are measured in billion kWh.
Overall, it can be seen that numbers of production are higher compared to consumption of electricity. In addition, the difference between expenditure and manufacture was not high.
It is noticable that China reached a peak in both consumption and production of electricity, while United States' expenditure was 3.866 kWh and production was about 4,100 kWh. Furthermore, Russia, Japan and India were with significantly smaller numbers in both consumption and manufacture.
What is interesting is that Canada, in the 6th place, produced 618.9 kWh and used approximately 500 kWh, while the figures of France and Brazil were almost the same in both aspects. Germany was the only country that consumed more electricity than produced. Finally, Korea finished the top 10 with the lowest numbers for consumption and production: 449.5 and 485.1 respectively.
