(Cambridge 15 - Test 1 - Task 1) The chart below shows the results of a survey about people's coffee and tea buying and drinking habits in five Australian cities.
The represented bar chart provides information about how citizens in five different cities in Australia
spend money on coffee and tea. Citizens are divided into three categories of drinking habits in the last
four week, data are measured in percentage of residents.
Generally speaking, it is noticeable that people in all five cities prefered going to a café the most, and
they enjoyed buying fresh coffee the least.
To begin with Sydney, it is worth noting that over 60% of city's citizens chose to go to a cafe, while the
percentages of people buying fresh coffee or instant coffee were at approximately 45%. There are the
same patterns in Melbourne and Hobart where almost 65% of their residents went to a café in the last
four weeks.
Moreover, there is a slight different trend in Adelaide where the percentage of locals buying instant
coffee was higher than any other groups. The data also shows that there are not many people in
Bristane and Adelaide bought fresh coffee, only just under 35%, roughly 15% less than the
percentage of citizens buying instant coffee in both city
