The given chart shows the age-wise contribution of British people to charity in percentage for the years 1990 and 2010.
Overall, people below 50 years donated more in 1990 than in 2010 whereas contribution of the population older than 50 years was greater in 2010 comparing to 1990.
In the year 1990, the amount spent to charity fluctuated with age group. About 42% was given for good cause by the people around 36-50 years old which was the highest among all the age groups. The youngest ones below 25 years expended almost 16% for social cause marking the lowest one. The contribution was approximately 30%, 35% and 32% for people belonging to age groups 26-35, 51-65 and >65 respectively.
Looking at the year 2010, the first rank in donation was held by people who were 51-65 years old. Similar to 1990, the bottom position was occupied by folks younger than 25, having their share of about 7%. Equal amount was expended by the British ageing 36-50 and greater than 65 which accounts to 35%. A little less than 25% was contributed by those who are from 26 to 35 years old.
