The presented line graph illustrates data on crime in three various places in Newport city centre between 2003 and 2012.
As can be seen from the line graph, the number of robbery was the least over the period of 9 years. With regard to robbery, starting at about 750 cases in 2003, the incidence of robbery fluctuated from 2003 to 2007 and touched the lowest point at 500 incidences in 2008. After that, there was a fluctuation slightly around 750 cases in 2012.
When it comes to burglary, beginning at approximately 3500 in 2003, the amount of burglary touched the highest point almost 3800 in the next year. Thenceforth, there was a sudden decrease to 1500 in 2008. However, it slightly climbed around 1500 in 2009 and then remained stable approximately 1500 in four years later.
With respect to car theft, with a starting point of 2900 in 2003, the number of car theft remained the same starting 2003 to 2005. There was a reduction about 2000 in 2006 and then a slight fluctuation over the next six years.
