Overall, the expenditure on the food and drink category increased with age. Additionally, the food and drink expenses were the highest for the majority of age groups.
Regarding the specific category of food and drink, those aged 76 and older had the highest percentage of expenditure, which presented around 23%. The age range under 30 had the lowest expenditure, accounting for only approximately 6% of the total.
On the other hand, the age range under 30 had the highest restaurant and hotel expenditure, at around 14% of the total, while the age group 61-75 had the lowest percentage, which was just under 3% of the total.
