The chart below shows the expenditure of two countries on consumer goods

The bar chart illustrates the amount of money spent on 5 consumer goods in France and the UK in 2010.

Overall, both France and the UK spent most of their money on cars out of the five categories of consumer goods. People in the UK spend around 450,000 as opposed to the French at 400,000.

Next item, the French spent more on computers than the British at 375,000 and 350,000 respectively. Similarly, the British expenditure was higher on books than the French at 400,000 and 300,000 respectively.

Once again, the French beat out the British on perfume spending at 200,000 to about 140,000 respectively. But, when it comes to cameras that is another story. The spending on cameras for the British was more than double that of the French which came in at slightly more than 350,000 as oppose to 150,000 for the French.

In summary, the French loved to use their computers while smelling nice and the British loved their cars, enjoy the books and snapping lots of pictures
