The following chat provides some information about how many times the American people went to eat in fast food restaurants during a decade from 2003 till 2013.
As can be clearly observed from the chart, the percentage of people who went fast food restaurants every day fall slowly from under 5% to about 2% during 2003 to 2013. Similarly, the same pattern could be seen among individuals who never ate fast food between 2003 to 2013. While there was a slight climb in percentage of Americans who attended a few times per a year in fast food restaurants from around 12% to approximately 15% at the same period.
On the other hand, the share of several-time-a-week fast food eaters fluctuated within 15% to 20% during 2003 to 2013. Despite the fact that the proportion of individuals who went fast food restaurants only once a week experienced a significant increase from above 30% to around 33% during 2003 to 2006, there was a sharp decline to nearly 28% in 2013.
It is clear from the chart that about 30% of American people ate fast food once or twice in a month in 2003. But it went downward sharply and reached 25% in 2006, after that it skyrocketed to more 33% in 2013.
