The chart below shows how frequently people in the USA ate at fast food restaurants between 2003 and 2013.

The bar chart compares the frequency of Americans having fast food from 2003 to 2013. Findings will be compared and contrasted by identifying trends across different time periods.

Generally, the percentage of America citizen that ate fast food one or serval times a week rises steadily in 2006 before dropping to about 43%, while the percentage of Americans having fast food once or twice a month or few times a year rises gradually between 2003 and 2013 overall. Interestingly, people in America who ate fast food every day or never eaten fast food has a similar percentage of 5% and stayed more or less the same since 2003. In addition, the majority of the US population ate fast food once a week in 2003 and 2006 but the picture has changed where the majority ate fast food only once or twice a month in 2013.

To conclude, as the data suggests, Americans are moving away from fast food due to the trend of health consciousness. However, will this trend continues in the near future?
