Overall, the average prices of housing increased in most of the sampled cities from 1990 to 1995, while in the rest period they rose in all the locations except Tokyo.
Starting with the first period from 1990 to 1995, there was a decrease in the housing prices, with Tokyo and London suffering the greatest losses at -7.5% each, and New York facing a slighter dip at -5%. On the other hand, the six years witnessed moderate price rises in Madrid and Frankfurt, +2% and +2.5% respectively.
Turning now to the next seven years, the prices in all the cities except Tokyo showed an upward trend, which was dramatic in London (nearly +13%) and least obvious in Frankfurt (+2%). Meanwhile, the prices in New York and Madrid rose by the similar proportion (roughly +5%).
