The bar chart illustrates nation’s exports in various categories from 2015 to 2016 and the table below gives the fluctuation in percentages during the same period. Overall, all categories had increase in sales abroad except for precious stone and jewellery.
The top two bars, petroleum products and manufactured products, had tiny gap in 2015 but had apparently similar exports volumes in 2016. Petroleum products had increased slightly by 3%, from about $60 million in 2015 to $62 million in 2016. Engineered goods had more than twice increase compared with oil basis product, which had increased roughly 8.5 per cent between 2015 and 2016.
Other three categories had much lower exports values. Textiles had lowest sales in 2015, however, the greatest increase by 15.24% reached to equivalent level as farm produce in 2016. Agricultural products had the lowest increase by 0.81 per cent only. On the other hand, Gems and jewellery recorded the only decline with exports of approximately $42 million in 2015 and declining by 5.18% in 2016.
