The bar chart illustrates the average daily lowest and highest levels of N20 and S02 in four different cities, namely Los Angeles, Calcutta, Beijing, Mexico City in 2000.

Overall, it can be clearly to seen that Mexico City was by far the most country releasing chemical waste among 4 large cities. However, the other counterpart registered the same level of pollutant emission.

In Los Angeles, the min quantity of S02 emitted was by far the lowest of all the given cities, at 2 micrograms per m3, which was only one-fifth the max quantity one, at 10 micrograms per m3. The max amount of N02 emission nearly tripled the min amount, at 39 and 104 micrograms per m3 respectively. Strikingly, the max emission of N20 and S02 registered the highest figure with 113 and 207 respectively. Also, Mexico City contaminated this city by N20 was significant more than S02 by approximately 33 micrograms per m3.

By contrast, in Calcutta and Beijing the emission of S20 was consistently higher than that of N02. Specifically, the max amount of S02 in Calcutta and Beijing was 59 and 100 micrograms per m3 compared to 52 and 54 micrograms per m3 for that of N02. The min emission of S02 recorded 47 micrograms per m3, which was double that of in Beijing during the given period.
