The chart shows the percentage of power generated from 6 different types in Gareline
The pie charts illustrate the proportion of the sources of power in Gareline used to generate power from 1970 to 1990. Overall, it is clear that the percentage of hydro power was the highest in 1970 and 1980 and this figure significantly decreased in 1990.
It is noticeable that the percentage of hydro power created about 45 percent in 1970 and approximately three quarters in 1980, but it decreased to 34 percent in 1990. The second most popular source was geothermal power which considerably fluctuated from 1970 to 1990. By 1970, there were around 22 percent of geothermal power and which accounted for 8 percent in 1980. However, this figure increased to 39 percent in 1990.
By contrast, the percentage of wind, gas, nuclear power and other reached just under 20 percent throughout 20 years. The percentage of wind power remained stable in three different periods, whereas nuclear power became to appear in 1980, at 6 percent, then it created 15,5 percent in 1990. The percentage of power generated from gas and other were the lowest over the period of 20 years.
